Our story doesn’t begin in one specific place, but in the countless quiet moments when each of us dreamt of the horizon. Growing up, we were both fascinated by the intricate lines on maps, the vibrant colours of flags, and the symphony of languages we’d hear in movies and on the streets of our multicultural neighbourhoods. The question that always lingered was, “What lies beyond the familiar?”

That insatiable curiosity became our compass. Before children, it took us trekking through the mist-laden mountains of Sapa, Vietnam, getting lost in the labyrinthine souks of Marrakech, and sharing stories with nomadic families under the vast, star-dusted skies of the Gobi Desert. Then we became parents — and everyone told us the adventure was over. We decided to test that theory instead.

It turns out the world doesn’t shrink when you have children. It just slows down, asks better questions, and stops for more snacks. Our travels are not about ticking off bucket-list destinations; they are about understanding the beautifully complex tapestry of humanity, and showing our kids their place within it.
