Eating in Singapore – Brunch @ Wild Honey, Scotts Square

Singapore is known as a food paradise, with its rich multicultural heritage reflected in its diverse and vibrant dining scene. From hawker fare to Michelin-starred restaurants, there is something for every palate and budget. One of my favorite weekend activities is going out for brunch. Brunch combines the best of breakfast and lunch, usually served between 10am to 2pm. It’s a more relaxed and leisurely dining experience, perfect for lazy weekends. In this post we talk about our Eating in Singapore – Brunch @ Wild Honey, Scotts Square.

One of my go-to brunch spots is Wild Honey at Scotts Square. Wild Honey is a popular brunch and all-day dining restaurant serving international and contemporary cuisine with multiple outlets across Singapore. But the spacious and airy outlet at Scotts Square remains my favorite.

Scotts Square is an upscale shopping mall conveniently located in the Orchard shopping belt. It sits just across from the more famous ION Orchard, making it easily accessible but less crowded than other malls in the area. The mall houses many luxury brands, restaurants and a cinema. Wild Honey is located on the first floor. Its bright façade and alfresco seating make it stand out from the other restaurants.

As you enter Wild Honey, you are greeted by the warm glow of its wood and brick interiors. The high ceiling and large windows create an airy ambiance, and you can also opt to sit outdoors for some people-watching. The restaurant fills up quickly on weekends so I usually make a reservation in advance to secure a table.

Wild Honey’s menu features a good balance of sweet and savory dishes. There are classic brunch items like eggs benedict, French toast, pancakes as well as unique creations like the croque madame rice bowl and truffle mushroom flatbread. Diners can also order from their breakfast or lunch/dinner menu. Signature dishes not to be missed include the leek and taleggio flatbread, udon carbonara and chocolate banana French toast.

I usually order the three-grain vegan pancake, made with buckwheat, quinoa and chia seeds topped with fresh fruits, almond butter and maple syrup. The pancakes are perfectly fluffy on the inside with a nice crispy outer layer. The fruits and nut butter provide a delicious flavor contrast while the maple syrup gives it a nice sweet touch.

On my most recent visit, I tried their crushed avocado and feta toast. Sourdough bread is first toasted until crisp then generously slathered with avocado smash and crumbled feta cheese. Topped with two perfectly poached eggs, this dish had amazing flavors and textures in every bite. The toast soaked up the egg yolks beautifully while the fresh greens lent a nice crunch and acidity to balance the rich avocado and eggs.

To drink, Wild Honey offers coffee made with premium beans and a selection of loose leaf teas and fresh juices. Their honey vanilla latte is a popular choice, made with real vanilla beans and a drizzle of honey for added sweetness. I opted for a refreshing watermelon and rosewater mocktail, with just the right balance of sweetness and tanginess.

One thing that makes the brunch experience at Wild Honey so enjoyable is the friendly and attentive service. The staff are always ready with recommendations and efficient in taking orders and delivering food. They make sure glasses are filled, plates are cleared promptly, and check in periodically to see if anything else is needed. Their warm and welcoming service makes dining here a breeze.

After an indulgent brunch, I like to head over to the attached Shaw Theatres and catch a movie. The cinemas are modern and comfortable, and it’s nice being able to walk over after eating and drinking. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants in Scotts Square to continue exploring after the movie.

With its cozy ambiance, scrumptious food and impeccable service, it’s no wonder Wild Honey is one of my favorite brunch places in Singapore. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend meal with friends or family. The contemporary menu offers something for everyone, with seasonal specials that keep things interesting. Dining here always recharges me for the week ahead.

So if you find yourself in Singapore and are looking for an excellent brunch spot, I highly recommend checking out Wild Honey at Scotts Square. Make a reservation and prepare to be delighted by the food, drinks and friendly service. It’s a great place to soak in the laidback brunch vibe that Singapore has to offer.
