Eating in Singapore – All-Day Brunch & Tea @ arteastiq

All-Day Brunch & Tea @ arteastiq

Arteastiq is a boutique tea house serving all-day brunch and tea.  I visited the outlet at Plaza Singapore with a friend last week to check it out and was not disappointed.  The restaurant has nice comfortable sofas by the window which looks into busy Orchard Road.  A very comfortable setting for a relaxing afternoon tea with friends.

They also have regualar tables for bigger groups or those who prefer higher tables than the low sofas.

As we went around 12 plus, besides the ala-carte menu, they had a set lunch menu.  The set lunch menu included many items from the ala-carte menu, is priced the same as the ala-carte menu and came with choice of tea.

My friend decided to go for the set lunch.  She chose the Black Rice Roll Salad which was a wrap  made with smoked salmon, japanese cucumber and rice wrapped in rice paper.  It pinched a piece and it was not bad.

For her tea, she chose the earl grey.  It was served in a pot and was accompanied with 2 pandan cookies which she liked a lot.  This whole set cost only $13!

I decided to go for the ala-carte menu as I wanted the ice tea with ice cream that is not part of the set.  For my main course, I chose the chicken and waffle ($16).  Chicken was nice and crispy.  Waffle while was crispy was quite light.  The dish was served with maple syrup and butter.  I like it too.  But I must add that the food here is not very salty and some may even find it blend.  But they generally come with a sauce on the side.

For my tea, I chose the Lady Yang ($12) which is Lychee Tea served with Lychee Gelato and a lychee fruit.  My tea came with 2 meringues.  Just pour the tea over the gelato.  It was so refreshing.  I absolutely love it! ???. I’ll come back just for this again!

Arteastiq sells the cookies that they serve too.  Besides the pandan cookie and meringue that we had with our teas, they had many other cookies e.g. nasi lemak, chocolate biscotti, lemon cookies etc.  Each small box goes for $18.90 which is very expensive.  If you buy 3 there is a discount and it comes with a nice box.  I like meringue, so I got a box of it.

Overall, it was an enjoyable lunch. This is a great place to hang out with friends for a chit chat. Great for tea lovers too! Will definitely come back again.

BTW, besides being a restaurant, arteastiq also has a studio besides the restaurant for those interested in expressing their artistic talent.  You can book at Art Jam session and unfold your artistic talents on the blank canvas  using paints provided while sipping specialty tea and listening to your favourite music.
